# Granola Integration: Meeting Notes for AI Agents

> Agents can search and read your Granola meeting notes and folders. Connect in a minute with an API key.

## Overview

OneCLI connects AI agents to [Granola](https://www.granola.ai) with an API key. Agents can list and read your meeting notes and folders. The gateway injects the key into every request, so your agent never sees it.

Connecting takes about a minute.

## Connect Granola

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create an API key in Granola">
    In the Granola desktop app, open **Settings** > **Connectors** > **API keys** and create a key. Name it `OneCLI` and copy it right away. Keys start with `grn_`.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Paste it in OneCLI">
    In the OneCLI dashboard, open **Connections** > **Granola**, paste the key into **API Key**, and click **Connect Granola**.

    </Frame>
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  The key has the same access to notes as your Granola account. Treat it like a password.
</Note>

## What agents can do

| Area | What agents can do |
| - | - |
| **Notes** | List notes and read a note's full content |
| **Folders** | List folders |

Granola's API is read-only, so agents can't change or delete notes.

## Controlling access

[Grant](/docs/guides/agent-access) the connection to each agent that needs it, and choose per tool what runs freely, what needs approval, and what's blocked. Organization [rules](/docs/guides/rules) add guardrails on top. A blocked request never reaches Granola.

To disconnect, remove the connection in **Connections** > **Granola**, then delete the key in Granola under **Settings** > **Connectors** > **API keys**.
