# Fireflies Integration: Meeting Transcripts for AI Agents

> Agents can read Fireflies meeting transcripts, summaries, and action items through its GraphQL API and MCP server. Connect with an API key.

## Overview

OneCLI connects AI agents to [Fireflies](https://fireflies.ai) with an API key. Agents can search meetings and read transcripts, summaries, and action items. The gateway injects the key into every request, so your agent never sees it.

Connecting takes about a minute.

## Connect Fireflies

<Steps>
  <Step title="Copy your API key from Fireflies">
    In Fireflies, open [Integrations > Fireflies API](https://app.fireflies.ai/integrations/custom/fireflies) and copy your API key.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Paste it in OneCLI">
    In the OneCLI dashboard, open **Connections** > **Fireflies**, paste the key into **API Key**, and click **Connect Fireflies**.

    </Frame>
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  The key has the same access as your Fireflies account. Treat it like a password.
</Note>

## What agents can do

| Area | What agents can do |
| - | - |
| **Read** | Query meetings, transcripts, summaries, and action items through the GraphQL API |
| **Write** | Run GraphQL mutations, and use the Fireflies MCP server |

## Controlling access

[Grant](/docs/guides/agent-access) the connection to each agent that needs it, and choose per tool what runs freely, what needs approval, and what's blocked. Allow **GraphQL API (queries)** for reading, and put **mutations** and the **MCP server** behind approval. Organization [rules](/docs/guides/rules) add guardrails on top. A blocked request never reaches Fireflies.

To disconnect, remove the connection in **Connections** > **Fireflies**, then regenerate the key in Fireflies under **Integrations** > **Fireflies API**.
